Cradle to Cradle design - A full life cycle approach

Lynne and Neil's piece draws attention to the waste in our world particularly e-waste and space debris. Although we can't do much about space debris as artists or designers we can make decisions in our lives to reduce waste or make design decisions that don't incur more waste or use recycled materials.

Cradle to Cradle - Remaking the way we make things by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, 2002.

This seminal book, is a manifesto calling for the transformation of human industry through ecologically intelligent design.  Through sketches, key design prinicpals innovative products and business models they  make the case that an industrial system that "takes, makes and wastes" can become a creator of goods and services that generate ecological, social and economic value.
