CALLING ALL STEAM TRAILBLAZERS
Are you a student between the ages of 14 and 25 who wants to gain valuable skills by exploring the intersection of science and art? Join a global community of youth leaders by becoming a STEMarts Ambassador! Through our program, you’ll acquire valuable 21st-century skills in event production, science-art communication, Extended Reality (XR), and digital media creation. Delve into the cosmos with our SciArt installations, boot camps, and remote learning workshops, led by professional speakers in particle physics, astrophysics, space science, space policy, native science, and new media art. This comprehensive training empowers you to share your knowledge with others, enhancing your artistic, scientific, and humanistic literacy. Ambassadors undergo training and receive stipends for leading activities, teaching workshops, and assisting with installations and experiences at STEMarts events.
Once you register you become part of the Ambassador program which is the entry level for all programs. Ambassadors are added to an international WhatsApp group where training opportunities and events are listed. They are encouraged to participate in as many opportunities as possible to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to earn stipends as experience guides and peer-to-peer instructors. Based on the skills acquired, Ambassadors can access higher levels of opportunities within the organization and secure internship opportunities in the fields of art, science, and technology.
Through this Ambassador program, you’ll join our Zoom STEAM TEAMS to acquire valuable 21st-century skills in event production, space literacy, science-art communication, Extended Reality (XR), and digital media and social media production. Through these sessions you develop valuable 21st century skills and contribute to the final creative products including Space podcasts, Augmented Reality, 3D models, Generative Art, Publishing Books and Prototyping.
Virtual STEAM TEAMS include:
● Digital Media XR led by Ian Harrison
● Space Literacy led by Arwen Hubbard
● AI and Data Science led by Cyndi Coon
Final creative products become part of the culminating sci-art installations that travel to prestigious art and science festivals and museums in New Mexico and around the world, curated by our Creative Director, Agnes Chavez.
