When Arwen Hubbard speaks about the cosmos, you can’t help but look up with a little more wonder. As a NASA Solar System Ambassador and STEAM Team instructor with STEMarts
Lab, Arwen brings space science down to Earth—making it accessible, exciting, and personal.
With a background in science communication and a passion for astronomy, Arwen is known for weaving together storytelling and star maps to inspire curiosity in the night sky. Her workshops with STEMarts explore the intersection of space literacy, indigenous knowledge systems, and technology, creating unique learning experiences that blend data with imagination.
“Working with students to explore constellations and build meaningful connections to space science was inspiring,” Arwen shared after leading the AstroTour at the Harwood Museum. Her sessions ignite a sense of belonging in the cosmos, helping students see themselves not just as learners—but as future leaders in space exploration.
About the STEAM Team:
Arwen leads one of three remote STEAM Teams—a flexible, mentorship-based internship where youth collaborate on cutting-edge sci-art projects, from AR stargazing to speculative storytelling. Each team is guided by an expert who brings their own voice and field experience to this dynamic hybrid learning space. Want to join Arwen’s STEAM Team? Click HERE to learn more.
