We are excited to announce that the STEMarts International Travel Award has nominated three exceptional STEMarts Ambassadors from New Mexico to travel to Guadalajara, Mexico, as part of a sister city exchange. This program is proudly sponsored by the U.S. Consulate General in Guadalajara and the Albuquerque Sister Cities Foundation.
Last year, we welcomed ambassadors from Preparatoria San Jose del Valle (SJV) high school in Guadalajara to New Mexico for the STEMarts Space Messengers installation at the Balloon Museum during the Balloon Fiesta: Santiago Valadez Garcia, Hermila Ruiz, Caroline Estrella Spiller, and Julio Cesar Hernández Ochoa. This achievement was a result of their participation in the spring Space Messengers workshop exchange, collaborating with students from Albuquerque High.
This year, we congratulate our winning ambassadors from New Mexico: Shaylee Mirabal, Feliciana Mitchel-Gonzales, and Claire LeGate. They have been nominated for their excellence and dedication in the STEMarts Ambassador program. These ambassadors have completed at least one year in the program, participated in the most events and trainings, and have demonstrated outstanding ability in communicating their knowledge to others.
The STEMarts ambassadors will be traveling on November 20-24, 2024 to engage in a series of presentations and Augmented Reality (AR) demonstrations at schools and universities in Guadalajara, coordinated by the Albuquerque Sister Cities Foundation and the U.S. Consulate General in Guadalajara.
We are proud of their achievements and look forward to their contributions in Guadalajara!
