Exciting Collaboration: STEMarts Lab Partners with Albuquerque Sister Cities Foundation and the U.S Consulate General in Guadalajara.
STEMarts Lab is thrilled to announce its partnership with the Albuquerque Sister Cities Foundation and the U.S. Consulate General in Guadalajara. This collaboration has brought together four STEMarts Ambassadors from Guadalajara, who will join forces with our New Mexico youth ambassadors as experience guides for the immersive Space Messengers exhibit at the Balloon Museum/Balloon Fiesta.
Driving this international exchange is Elizabeth Arroyo, STEMarts Mexico Coordinator, who has orchestrated the workshop and travel program. The selected winners will have the privilege of being hosted by Sister Cities’ host families, proudly representing both the STEMarts project and their home country.
From a pool of 35 students and 7 teachers/coordinators at the Preparatoria San Jose del Valle (SJV) high school in Guadalajara, four ambassadors emerged as victors: Santiago Valadez Garcia and Akane Jeanine Ward González (in the video below), STEMarts Coordinator Caroline Estrella Spiller and SJV teacher Julio Cesar Hernández Ochoa. This achievement is a result of their participation in the spring Space Messengers workshop exchange, collaborating with students from Albuquerque High.
As we look ahead, four winners will be selected from our New Mexico Ambassadors in 2024 for an exciting STEMarts event in Guadalajara. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of our STEMarts Ambassador program, which offers a chance to secure these coveted travel awards. Stay tuned for more updates!
