Glitch Music

One aspect of Neil and Anthony’s project Escape, creates music out of unwanted sounds. Although technically not Glitch Music or Musique Concrete, their work can be considered in relation to these practices.

1. Glitch is a style of electronic music that emerged in the mid to late 1990s. It has been described as a genre that adheres to an “aesthetic of failure,” where the deliberate use of glitch based audio media, and other sonic artifacts, is a central concern (Wikipedia accessed 2012).
