Using microcontrollers, CO2 sensors, solar panels and rechargeable batteries and motors Steve Gutierrez endows a bamboo plant with the ability to self-navigates, enabling the plant to hunt and search for light and people created CO2 gas.
Steve’s work draws attention to social and environmental issues highlighting the connectedness and the symbiotic relationship wihtin our nature / human interdependence on nature (SG, 2012).
Steve is currently working in the Advanced Computing Centre for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) at The Ohio State University.
