Girls in STEAM Apprenticeship

Sponsor the Girls in STEAM Apprenticeship program to help us reach girls from Taos and northern New Mexico rural communities ages 14-19. We provide training and mentorship to five girls selected through an open call. Each student receives $1000.

Paid Internships

Sponsor the paid internship opportunities for Taos students ages 17-24 to join our STEAM Youth in Space program (Taos Chapter) as assistants and creators. Students will work with STEMarts team of artists and scientists to help with development of the curriculum and design of the ‘place-based space’ multimedia projects such as space tours and sci-art installations. Art techniques include virtual reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), as well as scientific fields such as space science and astrophysics. Students will be invited to continue with STEMarts as Ambassadors for ongoing training and work opportunities.

STEMarts Youth Ambassador Program

Support the Youth Ambassador ‘Earn to Learn’ program, which provides training and professional mentorship for youth aged 14-25. Through this program, ambassadors receive a stipend while building skills in science and space literacy, event production, international collaboration, sci-art communication, Extended Reality (XR), and digital media art creation. Your sponsorship empowers young leaders to gain hands-on experience and prepares them for future careers in STEAM fields.

Expanding our Team- Staying at the Cutting Edge

As demand for our programs grows, so does the need for talented staff, artists, and technologists to guide students on their learning journeys. Your support will help us expand our creative team and stay at the forefront of research to ensure our STEAM curriculum and sci-art programming remain cutting-edge. We collaborate with interdisciplinary experts in art, science, and technology to develop innovative STEAM curricula. Together, our team of artists, scientists, and cultural specialists co-design sci-art installations in partnership with youth.

Growing our International Footprint

The STEMarts International Exchange Program and International Design Challenges connect New Mexico youth to global projects that foster empathy and cultivate citizen diplomacy. By sponsoring a travel award winner from Northern New Mexico, you can support a student in joining the STEMarts team in one of our partner countries through US Embassy and Sister City partnerships. Through these international collaborations, students develop essential interpersonal communication and ambassadorial skills while contributing to a global sci-art installation that travels the world, showcasing the transformative power of cross-cultural exchange and creativity

With your support our students and future leaders will;

  • Develop scientific and artistic literacy as a way of knowing and communicating in order to deepen their understanding of themselves and the world around them.
  • Build confidence and self esteem.
  • Perceive themselves as planetary citizens with positive values for community engagement.
  • Investigate the ethics and impact of science and new technologies on nature and humanity.
  • Build empathy towards diverse worldviews and develop cultural competency.
  • Gain access to valuable STEAM and 21st century skills and feel empowered to use digital tools and creative expression to tell their own stories and better the world.
  • Explore career pathways and participate in paid apprenticeship and ambassador programs.
