STEMarts Apprenticeships for Northern New Mexico Girls in Tech
STEMarts Lab offers paid year-long apprenticeships for girls aged 14-20 living in northern New Mexico. Apprentices learn from scientists and create with artists on emerging media arts projects. They receive personalized training in STEAM subjects such as particle physics, astrophysics, space science, digital media arts, virtual reality (VR) and/or augmented reality (AR), projection mapping, data visualization, interactive design, and website-creation.
STEMarts International
STEMarts International is an international youth exchange program for STEMarts Ambassadors. We facilitate communication and collaboration between youth leaders around the world. We connect New Mexico students aged 14-29 with classrooms in participating countries through events, bootcamps, virtual and in person trainings. We offer a travel award to exemplary ambassadors to join our creative team on an international trip.
Ambassador Youth Program
The STEMarts Ambassador program provides training and professional mentorship for youth aged 14-25. Ambassadors receive a stipend while developing science and space literacy and gaining experience in event production, international collaboration, sci-art communication, Extended Reality (XR), and digital media art creation.
STEMarts Bootcamps
STEMarts Bootcamps are held four times a year at UNM Taos HIVE in Taos, New Mexico. These full-day training sessions feature guest scientists and artists who share their expertise and showcase exciting career opportunities in new media art, and cutting-edge science and technology. Students that complete a series of Bootcamps receive a STEMarts certificate to work as XR experience guides at our traveling events.
