The 2025 STEMarts Ambassadors represent a growing network of youth leaders from across New Mexico and our international partner communities. These students are changemakers in training—collaborating on immersive SciArt installations, exploring emerging technologies like AI and AR, and amplifying youth voices through global cultural exchange. As ambassadors, they serve as XR experience guides, creative contributors, and peer mentors, applying STEAM skills in real-world settings at festivals, schools, and public events. Each brings a unique voice and vision to the STEMarts mission: empowering youth and communities to imagine a more connected, equitable future through art, science, and technology.

Alumni Spotlight

Amelia Martinez joined the STEMarts Ambassador and Apprenticeship Program in 2022 as a freshman, diving headfirst into immersive sci-art experiences that shaped her academic and professional journey. In 2025, she was named a LANL Scholar—one of the most prestigious STEM awards in New Mexico—and graduated as her high school’s Valedictorian.
Amelia is now pursuing a future in civil engineering, inspired by her hands-on internship at a local engineering firm, where she taught herself AutoCAD Civil 3D. Her leadership extends beyond academics: she served as president of the National Honor Society, participated in the Social Justice and Diversity Club, and volunteers with the NM Acequia Association to deepen her understanding of water issues in Northern New Mexico.
Amelia’s story is a powerful testament to how early mentorship, hands-on learning, and interdisciplinary exploration through STEMarts can empower youth to become leaders and change makers. Her success inspires us—and future alumni—to imagine what’s possible when art, science, and technology come together to shape the future.
